When it comes to choosing how you want to stream your favorite shows and movies, you’ll want to be a part of the latest and greatest video craze: 4K.

Both Amazon and Apple have 4K video streaming available for consumers to enjoy.  They both offer 2160p resolution, Dual-band 802.11 WIFI, voice control, and thousands of apps like Netflix and HBO.  So, how can you possibly decide between the two?

First off, the price difference between these 2 devices, is significant.   Apple TV 4K is available for $179 for 32BG of storage and $199 for 64GB of storage.  For more than $100 less, you can get the Amazon Fire TV Stick with 4K complete with free cloud storage for only $69.

Another key difference between the 2 systems, is their audio.  Amazon supports both Dolby Plus 7.1 and Dolby Atmos, which is the company's highest quality system.  The Amazon Fire TV Stick with 4K also hangs out of sight behind you television, reducing clutter, whereas Apple’s design is larger and built to sit out.

Apple TV 4K, comes ready to support an Ethernet connection.  The Amazon Fire TV Stick with 4K requires a $15 adapter for Gigabit Ethernet.

Apple TV 4K supports a higher quality picture than the Amazon Fire TV Stick with 4K.  Apple loaded their service to support both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision HDR standards, which means you’ll be able to get richer, brighter colors if you have a television that already supports Dolby Vision.

So, which product do you choose?  It really depends on what specific attributes you’re looking for in your streaming device.  Just remember, if you don’t like it, you can return it. If you send your product back to Amazon within 30-days, you can get a full refund and Apple has a 15-day return policy.
